Historic property at 31 Sand Rd discussed at council meeting

Tonight the historic building at 31 Sand Rd was the first item on the agenda at the council meeting.

The following motion was passed during the meeting

Moved by: Councillor Carruthers Seconded by: Councillor Foster BE IT RESOLVED THAT the deputations provided by A. Lenkov and G. Brown be received; and THAT the correspondence from A. Lenkov, dated September 11, 2025, regarding a historic structure located at 31 Sand Road, Holland Landing, be received; and THAT Council direct staff to investigate 31 Sand Road for any cultural heritage resources, with a report back to Council; and THAT Council direct staff to add 31 Sand Road to the Heritage Registry; and THAT Council direct staff to ask the applicant to voluntarily withdraw the demolition permit.

All councilors voted in favour of the motion.
