Hi Everyone,
The Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) case for 31 Sand Rd has been updated. A Case Management Conference (CMC) has been scheduled for April 8, 2026, @ 10:00 AM.
What is a CMC?
This is a procedural meeting where the OLT organizes the case. They will identify the formal "Participants," list the specific planning issues to be debated, and set the schedule for the final hearing.
How to Participate?
If you submitted a written objection to the Town or spoke at the public meeting, you are eligible to request Participant Status.
What it means: You can submit a formal written statement that the Tribunal Member must read and consider.
The Deadline: March 29, 2026 (10 days before the hearing).
How to Register as a Participant: I have reached out to the case coordinator for specific instructions and will forward I have them.
What's our Strategy?
The OLT operates on planning law. To be effective, our written submissions must be strategic and focused on planning grounds (density, heritage impact, environmental concerns, consistency with the Official Plan, etc.). A high volume of identical complaints will often be filtered out.
If you are willing to volunteer help draft submissions, please reply to this email.
We will want to coordinate a few strong submissions covering different technical arguments.
Thanks,
